DescriptionWide, baluster-shaped, porcelain lidded biscuit jar with a solid underglaze blue color that extends down to white, relief molded decoration consisting of upturned scrolls and waves inspired by the rococo revival style. The handles, molded and applied separately to the body of the jar (.a), are formed by irregularly shaped scrolls and embellishments, imitating the raised decoration on the jar. The lid (.b) has the same solid underglaze blue color with white raised decoration at the rim, altered only in that it is of a smaller proportion. In the center of the lid, there is a small, white, molded and applied finial in the shape of an irregular curved scroll.
