DescriptionRound, porcelain teacup and saucer with mythological relief decoration and polychrome enamels in the capo-di-monte style. The surface of the saucer (.b) and outside of the teacup (.a) are decorated with the same relief scene, showing small groups of individuals standing in a mountainous landscape near a classical structure. One group of figures stands near a tochere while a man plays a lyre. Another group shows three women wearing flowing dresses and dancing in a circle. One figure stands alone beneath a tree, some recline, and others stand in conversational groups. The inside of the flared rim of the teacup has gilded scrolls and vines highlighted in black enamel. The handle of the teacup is gilded as well. The saucer is decorated with an additional gilded cluster of flowers in the center. The gilded rims of the teacup and saucer show very little wear.

MarkingsThere is one mark on the bottom of both the teacup and saucer: an underglaze, blue printed mark of a capital "N" with seriphs below a five-pointed crown.
