DescriptionMan's white high-top basketball shoe with green stripes and lettering, originally belonging to Walter "Doc" Hurley. The sole and interior of the shoe are also green. "NIKE" is printed in green across the back of the shoe.

Markings"NIKE" is stamped on the sole and on the heel, and it is also stitched on the outside of the tongue. There is a white cloth tag printed in green with manufacturer's information on the interior of the tongue.NotesHistorical Note: Walter "Doc" Hurley was a four-sport star who graduated from Weaver High School in 1941. After graduating from Virginia State University and winning state championships in football, basketball, and track in Virginia, Doc returned to Hartford. For over thirty years, Doc has been extensively involved in community programs that benefit the youth of Hartford. This includes the Doc Hurley Scholarship Classic, an annual basketball tournament that raises thousands of dollars. (Hudson 7/27/2006)
