DescriptionA young man on horseback has just arrived from the right. He wears a coat and boots and has a drum slung over his shoulder. On the left, a middle-aged man holds the reins of two draft horses who are harnessed to a plow. He wears a vest, shirt, breeches, and boots. Three young men or boys are running down a hill in the left background. All three carry muskets. One carries a powder horn. A house is on the hill behind them. Three large trees are in the right background. Additional trees line the field in the distance.
