NotesSubject Note: In the 1880s, Roton Point became known as an area for picnics and bathing for residents. In the following years, small concession stands and other activities were added to the area. The park then included amusement rides such as a roller coaster and carousals. The circular bathhouse was used as a theater and then as a skating rink. Due to the destruction caused by the Hurricane of 1938, the amusement area closed in 1941.On View
