DescriptionThe left side of a saltbox house is at the left; its sloping roof is at the far left, and its massive brick chimney is at the upper left. The house is in dilapidated condition, and some of the clapboard siding appears to be loose. Boards and a small wooden box or platform lean against the side of the building. Tall grass grows in the yard in the foreground. The branches of two large trees form a lacelike pattern against the bright sky in the background. The trunk of one of the trees is at the far right.
