Jayce Ross was interviewed as part of the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History's Community History Project discussing moments of change in his life.
Jayce talks about becoming a big brother and what it was like to come out. He finds joy in taking care of a younger sibling, and describes feeling more authentic and confident after coming out. He believes overcoming challenges is a fact of life, and how you deal with those challenges matters.
Throughout the Interview he speaks on the responsibility of being a big brother, what he went through during and after his coming out, as well as the complicated situation of convincing his mom of his true identity. After coming out he describes himself as feeling confident and authentic.
