DescriptionSixth plate daguerreotype of a man identified as "Great-uncle Hill Campbell" and his wife, both of them pictured in older age. They are both seated. The man is wearing light-olored pants, a jacket with wide lapels, a vest with small flowers and vines embroidered on it, a white shirt with a high collar, and a dark necktie. His hair is worn slightly long, and he has wide, short sideburns.

His wife appears to be younger than him (perhaps by 10 to 15 years). Her dress is covered by a cape, and a small, white lace collar is folded down over the cape. She is wearing a white lace daycap with ribbons that are tied under her chin. She is wearing a beaded necklace and possibly a watch on a long chain or necklace. In her left hand, she is holding a book, and in her right, a handkerchief.
