DescriptionHalf-length portrait of a young boy seated beneath a large tree. He is wearing a short, tight-fitting jacket over a shirt with a ribbon tied in a bow at the collar. In his left hand, he holds a leash attached to the collar of a small dog. In his right hand, he holds a pocket watch attached to a watch fob. A rose bush is in the right background. A large field, a rail fence, and a large two-story house are in the left background. A gothic frame surrounds the picture.
