DescriptionFashion drawing attributed to Gertrude Conklin. Pencil and watercolor drawing of a woman in an emerald green floor-length evening gown with an attached scarf worn over the head like a veil. The woman has been depicted with a Caucasian skin-tone and is wearing makeup, the hair is styled with curls surrounding the temple and remains unpainted. She is drawn standing with her arms raised at the shoulder and resting on a ledge, she is holding a cigarette and wearing a bracelet in the left hand. The emerald green evening gown features an elongated torso and a flared skirt that tapers at the knee and flares at the hemline. The bodice area features a deep V-shaped halter neckline with a metallic clasp detail at the clavicle, the outer edges of the bodice hems are piped with a metallic brown-gold color, this piping extends through to the attached scarf.
