They are members of the Shattuck boat club at St. Paul's School in Concord, New Hampshire. Coxswain Roland W. Smith is on the far left, facing the other rowers. The rest, left to right, are Richard H. Franchot, Philip Allen, H. Ward Ford, Arthur A. Houghton, E. Livingfield More and J. Edward Coar.
