DescriptionThermos Model No. 65 vacuum jug in white and red, c. 1945-1955. Consists of (a) vacuum jug body, (b) vacuum jug liner, (c) rubber ring in base, (d) jug stopper, and (e) vacuum jug base.

The jug body is white and has a cylindrical shape and a semi-circular integral handle, following the line of the body with two holes to form the grip. A sticker with a gold background and gold text is affixed to the front of the body, "THERMOS / BRAND / VACUUM VESSEL." It has a cork stopper with a red plastic handle. The red base unscrews to allow access to the inner 'silvered' glass envelope, which rests on a rubber circle in the bottom of the base.
