DescriptionA man stands at the left, facing a marble monument incorporating a pointed arch, Gothic tracery, and a cross. He wears a frock coat, vest, shirt, necktie, top hat, pants, and shoes. He holds a cane in his right hand. Grass and a rose bush grow at the left of the monument. Lilies grow at the right. A weeping willow tree grows behind the monument and arches over it. A man and a woman walk on a path between additional gravestones in the right background. Trees, including evergreen trees, a river, and a bridge are in the distance. A stone or brick burial vault is built into a hillside in the left background. Trees, fields, and a city with several prominent church steeples are in the distance.
