DescriptionHalf length portrait of Austin Cheney (1876-1948) at about sixteen years old. He is sitting and leaning his elbow on a desk to his left, resting the back of his head on his hand. The other hand is resting on the edge of the desk. Austin is looking straight at the camera. There is a stack of papers sitting on the edge of the desk. Austin is wearing a white collared shirt under a light colored jacket and matching pants. He is also wearing a tie.

Austin was the eighth son of Frank Woodbridge Cheney and Mary Bushnell. He had eleven siblings.
