Ruth is sitting on the ground, wearing a wool coat that has epaulets and large leg 'o mutton sleeves, with a plaid skirt. The skirt has dog hair on it. Ruth's hair is pulled back into a low ponytail or bun. Her arms are around a large dog that is laying on the ground next to her, leaning back into her. The dog has light fur on its chest, muzzle and legs, with dark fur on its ears and around its eyes. There is a studio backdrop and a chair or other piece of furniture in the background. Both Ruth and the dog are looking off camera to the right.
