According to cataloging worksheet in object file, "Ednah was the second wife of Seth Wells Cheney, they were married in 1853. Seth died in 1856 of tuberculosis. Ednah remained close to the Cheney family and her neice married Knight Dexter Cheney. She was a writer, literary critic, feminist and was involved in the anti-slavery movement."
