DescriptionBorn digital photograph of a rally organized by the Greater Hartford Interfaith Action Alliance (GHIAA) on June 12, 2020 to demand police accountability and transparency. This rally was organized in response to the murder of George Floyd and in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. More than 90 clergy from various denominations, including Christian, Jewish, and Muslim faiths, stood on the steps of Hartford's City Hall to denounce racism and to demand from Mayor Luke Bronin and representatives of the Hartford Police Department and the Hartford Police Union for the reinstitution of the citizen review board and other matters concerning police accountability.
In this photograph, the rally is being set up in front of Hartford's City Hall. The Puerto Rican flag is flying on the building.
