DescriptionHalf-length portrait of a young woman seated on an upholstered chair or sofa. She wears a low-cut dress with a wide lace collar or bertha, with a rose pinned at the center. The bodice appears to be trimmed with vertical satin strips. She wears a gold bracelet with a square stone on her right wrist and holds a rosebud in her right hand. A comb, probably a tortoiseshell comb, is in her hair. Drapery is in the right background.
