Printed drapery is in the right background. Patterned wallpaper is in the left background.
Object number1996.177.25
InscribedOn recto, lithographed title beneath image, "ADELINE."
On verso, lower right, in pencil, "$8.00" old accession number [crossed out] / new accession number "Drawer 33".
NotesTechnique Note: This print exhibits the use of tuche (lithographic wash), characteristic of Kelloggs & Thayer. In this case, the contrast between the dark tuche and the lighter areas is exaggerated and not too pleasing. (Finlay 11/25/2003)
