DescriptionThree-quarter length portrait of a woman sitting at a table. Her right hand rests on an open book. Her left hand rests on her cheek. She is wearing a dress with balloon sleeves of a different fabric. Strips of the dress fabric extend over the shoulders of the sleeves. She wears a long chain around her neck. There is a tablecloth on the table. Printed drapery and a column are in the left background. A tree, and the sun, with rays coming from behind it, are in the right background.
