NotesSubject Note: The Riverfront Dragon Boat and Asian Festival has run annually during the summer at Riverfront Plaza and on the Connecticut River. Organized by Riverfront Recapture, the two-day event showcases local practitioners of music and dance, food, and arts/crafts from a variety of Asian cultures. The highlight is the Dragon Boat competition – sponsored teams from local and international organizations race on the river in long narrow rowed boats modeled after traditional Chinese dragon boats.Cataloging Note: This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services MA-245929-OMS-20.
