NotesSubject Note: The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation based in southeastern Connecticut holds an intertribal powwow annually. Over the years this has taken place at different locations including the Hartford Civic Center and at a variety of places on the reservation. These social gatherings usually feature traditional dance presentations and competitions, arts and crafts displays and sales by Native artists from all over the United States, and music presented by invited singers and drum groups from all across Native America. The annual powwow is managed by the Nation’s Cultural Resource Department and Foxwoods Casino. Public audiences attend this ticketed event.
