DescriptionWoman's cloak (.a) of green twill-woven wool, with a detachable shoulder cape (.b) of matching fabric. The cloak has an attached collar of dark blue velvet, which is 8 1/2 inches wide. The body of the cloak is pleated into a yoke; this seam is piped, as are the center front opening and bottom edges. The cloak fastens at the yoke with two hooks and eyes. There are no armholes or pockets. The shoulder cape is 16 3/4 inches wide; all edges are piped. The cape attaches to the cloak with hooks and eyes near the center front opening of the neckline. The underside of the velvet collar is pieced of the green twill-woven wool, while the cloak and shoulder cape are lined with tan-colored cotton printed in a slightly darker shade of tan with a design of stylized florals and pomegranates reminiscent of early eighteenth-century style. The cloak has a thin wadding of tan-colored cotton.
