DescriptionWoman's hat of red wool and synthetic blend twill in the form of a peaked turban. The sides are gathered into a diamond shaped panel at the center front, which is pushed down at the top, forming a scoop shape. This panel is top stitched with diamond shaped spirals. The hat is lined with beige rayon. The inner edge is stitched with an olive beige grosgrain ribbon. A woven tape label is stitched into this ribbon: "G. FOX & CO. / HARTFORD CONNECTICUT / Serving Connecticut since 1847."
