DescriptionWooden and leather underarm crutch belonging to and used by Civil War veteran Leman C. Miner Jr., a musician in Connecticut Third Infantry, Company A.
The crutch pad is made of tan leather, heavily stuffed, and is worn from use and age, the crutch pad is attached to the wooden crutch leg with brass upholstery tacks. The crutch leg is made of dark wood, it tapers towards the bottom of the crutch leg and shows signs of use and age. The crutch leg is carved with “L. C. MINER Co A 3rd CONN. INF.” below the crutch pad.
