DescriptionSmall child's dress of white cotton. The dress has a high, round neckline edged with a ruffle of scalloped whitework embroidery headed by a tape which has a woven pattern simulating featherstitching. The bodice front is decorated with three vertical box pleats which are stitched down from the shoulder or neckline to the piped waist seam. There is one box pleat on the bodice back, on each side of the center back opening. The opening extends 15 1/2 inches and fastens with six mother of pearl buttons on the bodice. The skirt is gathered evenly all around the waist. The hem is 2 7/8 inches deep. The long sleeves are full and gathered into the armscye and into a narrow band around the wrist, which is edged with a ruffle of whitework embroidery like the neckline. The bodice is lined with self-fabric.
