DescriptionThis green crepe day dress is smocked and embroidered with multicolored (pinks, greens, yellows, beiges), low-twisted yarns. Smocking at the neckline is 3 1/2 inches wide. Smocking at the waist is five inches wide. Narrow cording is encased in the neckline and hangs approximately 21 1/2 inches down from the neck. The skirt is finely accordian-pleated at the dropped waist. Edges of the long sleeve cuffs are decorated with a blanket stitch. Large floral motifs are embroidered at the center front of the dress and on the outside of each sleeve. The larger design at the front of the dress measures approximately 10 x 7 1/2 inches. The designs on the sleeves are 5 x 5 3/4 inches and again, 1 1/2 inches below that, covering an area of 5 x 4 3/4 inches.
