The short sleeves are gathered into the armhole and into the edge of the sleeve lining, which is shorter than the sleeve, causing the dress fabric to puff. The sleeve opening is edged with scalloped, machine-made lace. The raglan-style armhole seam is piped. The full skirt is closely gathered into the piped waistline. The skirt is decorated with six 1/2-inch tucks. The center back opening extends 9 1/2 inches. The bodice is lined with plain, white cotton.
