DescriptionWoman's half-slip of ivory-colored silk. The bottom of the slip is embroidered for a depth of about 8 1/2 inches with ivory-colored silk floss in a design of flowers, vines and leaves. The embroidery is done primarily in satin stitch. The bottom edge is scalloped and finished with buttonhole stitches; a dot is embroidered in the center of each scallop. The center back opening extends 9 1/2 inches and fastens with a hook and eye closure at the waist; the waistline is elasticized. The slip is constructed with a center front panel and two side panels meeting at the center back seam.
