DescriptionInfant's slip, with a cream-colored wool flannel skirt pleated to a plain white cotton bodice. The low, round neckline and armhole edges of the bodice are bound with bias self-fabric. The skirt is decorated around the hem with cream-colored silk embroidery imitating faggoting at the hem stitch line, interrupted with a leaf design. The center back opens for 11 1/4 inches and fastens with three small mother of pearl buttons on the bodice. The opening edges of the skirt are embellished with featherstitching in cream-colored silk floss. The center back seam of the skirt is finished by hand with a herringbone stitch.
