DescriptionA woman with her arms around a small boy is seated outdoors on a grassy bank beside a stream. She wears a dress with a collar and ruff, an apron, a broad-brimmed hat with plumes and ribbons, and shoes with laces crossed around her ankles. Her legs appear to be crossed. A small dog sits on the ground nearby with his muzzle on his leg. The brook flows over a small waterfall at the left. Trees and bushes are in the background.
