DescriptionTwo women and a man stand on a dirt road through woods. The women wear fitted bodices, long skirts and straw hats. The man has a beard and mustache. The women each rest one hand on a log, which serves as the railing of a rustic bridge. A small stream flows over a small waterfall beneath the bridge at lower left. Trees and bushes provide a backdrop of dense foliage. Typewritten inscription: "On the Groton Road." Probably Norwich or Ledyard.
