A jug and a basin or bowl are on the floor at the far left. A broken chair is on the floor at the right. Two young women stand at the right. The woman at the far right, who wears a cloak and hat trimmed with fur over her dress, holds the seated woman's left hand. The other young woman holds a hat and wears a bracelet. A ladder in the left background leads to a hay loft. The rafters and boards of the ceiling are visible above. A wooden door with long hinges is in the center background.
