“Frank P. Evarts was born in Hudson, NY in 1846. Once the Civil War began he came to Meriden and enlisted in the 12th Connecticut Volunteers, serving two years and two months. He was elected alderman in 1889. He started as foreman for the Bradley & Hubbard Manufacturing Company in 1871.”
