DescriptionTwo views of Newgate Prison in East Granby, surrounded by extensive letterpress text. The upper image shows the buildings of the prison seen from a distance at the top of a rise with open fields and scattered trees and bushes in the foreground. The lower image shows a group of men in a cell; two of the men hold torches and the others are seated or crouched on the ground.
