DescriptionA young woman wearing a shift and a skirt is seated on a stool in front of a dressing table while a second woman combs her hair. The second woman wears a scarf crossed over her bodice and a dress with puffed sleeves. A mirror, a basket, a jar, and items of clothing are on the dressing table. A drawer in the front of the table is open. A pitcher is on the floor nearby. A small rug is on the tiled floor beneath the woman's feet. What appears to be a shawl is on a chair in the background, near a window with fringed drapes and tie-backs. A plant in a flower pot is on the window sill. A framed painting of a landscape is on the wall at the left.
