DescriptionTwo temporary wooden towers support wires decorated with a wreath, American flags, a shield, swags, and banners. Electric light bulbs spell out the dates "1808" and "1908." Wooden bleachers and a tent are at the right. Vehicles and pedestrians, blurred from movement, are on the roadway and the sidewalk. Trolley tracks run across the bridge. A stone parapet is at the left.

NotesSubject Note: The Bulkeley Bridge opened to trolley traffic on December 8, 1907 and to the general public on December 21, 1907. The dedication of the bridge was the occasion of a three-day celebration on October 6, 7, and 8, 1908.
