DescriptionGroup of men march north on Main Street. Six men at the front of the group carry a banner on a frame. Two men in front of them carry an American flag and a Connecticut state flag. Men are horseback are in front of them. A few men, women and children stand on the sidewalks. Several horse-drawn carriages are on the street. Commercial buildings have awnings and signs that read: "E.B. Dillingham / Advertising Agency" "Printing" "Coal" "Putnam Phalanx / Armory." The spire of the Pearl Street Congregational Church is in the background. The large second empire style building is the Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company.
