DescriptionChild's dress of calico, printed with a light brown stripe and a small tulip-like spray in shades of brown and madder red. The dress has a wide neckline and short, straight sleeves. The neckline and the armscyes are piped. The skirt is closely gathered into the waistline. The skirt has a later insertion of a printed stripe with a paisley design in matching colors to add 2 1/4 inches to the skirt's length. This insertion is machine-stitched, while the rest of the dress is hand-stitched. The center back opening is 12 1/2-inches long; it fastens with five white porcelain buttons. There is a flaw in the calico print at the bodice center front.
