Hats, ladles and other utensils hang on the wall at right. The man in the foreground appears to be paring or shucking something, possibly shellfish, in a bowl and pail. Behind him, another man turns a spigot on a large tank. At the left, a man in a chef's hat handles raw meat. A meat grinder is on a table beside him. A banner or American flag is hung across the ceiling.
