DescriptionFamily at side of two-story clapboard house with Colonial and Federal style features. Bearded man in hat and suspenders sits on chair with woman wearing plaid dress. Boy in striped shirt and girl stand with two children sitting on ground. House steps are masonry and masonry foundation has rectangular barred windows. A covered pump is at right rear corner of house. Inscription on back: "Hugh Kyle" "Bridgewater"

NotesConstituent Note: Some photographs in this collection bear the imprint of the Northern Survey Company.Subject Note: Hugh Kyle, his wife Sarah, and their children were all born in Ireland. Kyle is listed as a "Day Laborer" living in Bridgewater, Connecticut in the 1880 Federal Census. He died in 1894.
