DescriptionGroup of three women, three bearded men, two girls and three boys in front of a two-story Greek revival house with an entablature over the doorway. All of the people are wearing dark clothing. Two of the women are wearing aprons. An arbor and a covered pump are at the right in front of an outbuilding. Scraps of lumber have been used to create a pathway across the yard. The large tree on the left appears to be a hemlock. The post with a turned knob in the immediate foreground is probably a hitching post.
