DescriptionView of the central part of New Haven. The small Gothic church on the left is the Episcopal Church. The house in the center background was the house of Dr. Trumbull, the historian of Connecticut. The building on the extreme right is the Congregational Church, erected in 1741 and taken down shortly after the drawing was made. A cemetery is loabout ted on the green in front of the church, a tavern sign is in the foreground, beyond a fence.
