DescriptionFort Hill rises steeply in the background, covered with trees except for a clearing at the top where the Baptist Church and the house of Mr. Burrows, an aged Baptist clergyman, may be seen. A rocky clearing is in the foreground. A road winds up the hill in the right.Fort Hill was the site of the Fort of the Pequot leader Sassacus.
