DescriptionView of Winsted from the south. The large two-story church in the center is the Congregational Church. To its left, a building with a cupola is identified as the "Red Academy Brick." The following industrial buildings are identified by inscriptions: "Woolen M [ill]," "Riley Whiting / Clock [factory] exten." The stream in the foreground indicated by a curving line that is probably the Still River. Wooded hills rise in the background.
