DescriptionView of the buildings in the central part of Lebanon. The broad treeless area in the foreground is the town green. On the left, is a row of houses and a few trees, identified as "Pine trees" and "Button" wood trees. The "War Office" and the "House of Gov. Trumbull" where John Trumbull, the "Painter" was "born" are identified by inscriptions. The church with the tall steeple, labeled "Brick" is the Congregational Church. The small church at the right, also labeled "Brick" is identified as the "Baptist" Church
