DescriptionView of Lady Fenwick's Monument on Saybrook Point at the mountain at the mouth of the Connecticut River. The monument is in the foreground. In the right background, is a high dune or bluff, labeled by Barber "perhaps 30 or 40 rods distant from monument." At the left, beyond a "salt meadow" and a "cornfield" is a row of houses. Several ships are at anchor off the point.
