NotesSubject Note: The Kirtland family homestead was located in Westbrook, Connecticut. Edwin L. Kirtland was born in Westbrook about 1833 and died in Holyoke, Massachusetts in 1910. However, there was an Edwin S. Kirtland living in New York State during this period. Further research is needed to determine the identity of the sitter. (Finlay 2/8/2014)
