DescriptionView of two boys in a sandbox, outdoors. All of the sand is gathered into a large pile on the right side of the box. The boy on the left sits inside of the sandbox, on top of a small rectangular box that has been turned on its end. He is holding onto a strap that is attached to a long wooden pole that disappears into the pile of sand on the right. The pole is probably the handle of a shovel. The boy on the right is sitting on the back right corner of the sandbox and is wearing a sailor suit. He is holding a stick or pole in front of him with both hands. There is a grassy lawn behind them and some trees.
