DescriptionA young girl is seated in a wicker chair holding a large doll. The girl wears a dress and has a heart-shaped locket around her neck. The doll wears a wool sweater, hat and shoes. Object number1995.36.1573
NotesSubject Note: These are the same girl and doll as pictured in 1995.36.1574. (Agins 7/30/2013)Subject Note: In 1995.36.1579, the doll in this photograph appears under a Christmas tree in what presumably was the living room of the Armstrong home in Groton, Connecticut. In a different photograph of a different Christmas tree in the same room, the name Muriel Armstrong appears on a blackboard. It seems likely this little girl is Muriel Armstrong, who was born on Jun 25, 1914. Her parents were David F. Armstrong and Helen Armstrong. (Finlay 11/20/2013)
